Ms. Baker is the President, CEO, and COO of Accolade Property Management, Inc. and is responsible for the general operations, development of procedures and policies, budgeting and value engineering, oversight of all departments including marketing, accounting and maintenance and direct responsibility for the strategic direction of the company. Ms. Baker has over 35 years of experience in the property management industry. Ms. Baker’s direct responsibilities have included managing all classes of assets with a keen ability to reposition assets to take advantages in the marketplace. Ms. Baker graduated from the University of Texas, Arlington with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate/Marketing. Ms. Baker holds a Housing Credit Certified Professional designation and is a Certified Property Manager candidate. Ms. Baker is committed to leadership and education in the multifamily industry and serves on several boards including the Texas Apartment Association Education. National awards and recognition have been noted for which assets Ms. Baker had direct responsibility, including Pillar of the Industry Award for Best Loft and Best Property Website, DBCA, Obelisk Award-New Initiatives and Charles L. Edson Excellence in Affordable Housing.

Ms. Verduin is the Senior Vice President and Controller for Accolade Property Management. Ms. Verduin is responsible for supervision of the accounting department, cash management and oversight of accounts payable and receivables. In addition, Ms. Verduin’s direct responsibilities include the monthly financial reporting to clients, as well as, mortgage and servicing agencies and tax reporting for the corporation. In addition to her accounting responsibilities, Ms. Verduin also manages the daily operations of the human resource department. Ms. Verduin has over 30 years experience in accounting specifically for real estate management. Ms. Verduin graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Texas Real Estate Broker.

BRETT REYNOLDS Vice President of Physical Operations

BRETT REYNOLDS

Mr. Reynolds is the Vice President of Physical Operations. Mr. Reynolds has over 25 years experience in maintaining multifamily properties. His responsibilities include the oversight of the Physical plant, supervision of the maintenance division, development and implementation of Capital plans and the development and implementation of preventative maintenance plans and safety plans. In addition, Mr. Reynolds oversees risk management through training and physical inspections and leads due diligence for new acquisitions and punch out tasks for new construction sites. Mr. Reynolds attended University of Texas at Arlington with a concentration in Engineering. He holds a Master Electrician License, HVAC Contractor License, TRNCC Preventative Backflow Tester License, Mechanical Certification for Boilers and Pool Licenses in multiple jurisdictions.

CHARISSE GUZMAN

Ms. Guzman began her career in Real Estate and Property Management as a Property Accountant in 2011 for a national property management company and within a few months she was also given the responsibility to train all new accounting personnel. In 2014 she joined a DFW management company as their Sr Property Accountant and within 6 months she was promoted to Accounting Manager. During this time, she was responsible of implementing new accounting policies and procedures, special projects for the President and CFO, review and approval of financial packages, audit requests, cash management, and payroll.

In 2017 she joined APM as Accounting Manager and shortly after was promoted to Controller. She oversees the accounting department, cash management, monthly and quarterly financial reports for clients and mortgage agencies, yearend audit requests, and assists APM’s President with special projects. Ms. Guzman graduated from Inter University of Puerto Rico and is preparing to be a Texas Certified Public Accountant.

Annette began her career in finance in the public-school system.  She was with one of the local school districts for 23 years, and 13 of those were in the Finance Department.  She was awarded the district’s MVP Award in 2015 for her service and dedication to the Finance Department.  Annette joined Accolade Property Management in 2016 as Payroll and Human Resources Administrator.

SARAH ORAND

Sarah serves as Accolade Property Management’s Marketing Director. She began her career in property management as a leasing consultant, and shortly thereafter was promoted to Assistant Marketing Director where she became an expert in social media and outreach marketing, online advertising, and training of leasing consultants. In 2018 she was promoted to Marketing Director overseeing all marketing endeavors for Accolade Property Management. She implements marketing efforts for every region including marketing for lease up properties, social media training, online advertisement implementation, website overview and design, outreach marketing, and leasing consultant training. She has been with Accolade Property Management for 5 years. Ms. Orand graduated from Oklahoma State University with her undergraduate degree, and recently completed her Master of Business Administration degree with a focus in Marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington.

BETSY MEDINA Compliance Director Southeast Region

BETSY MEDINA

Betsy serves as Accolade Property Management’s Compliance Director for the Southeast region. Her portfolio includes Alabama, Florida, and Texas. She manages all aspects of Compliance for the Housing Tax Credit (Section 42), Federal HOME, and Multi-Family Tax Exempt Mortgage Revenue Bond program, as well as assure compliance for communities with Project Based Section 8, RAD and Public Housing programs.

She has over 29 years of experience in the affordable housing industry, getting her start at a non-profit agency as an affordable housing counselor. There, she helped to design a database maintaining agency referrals and program availability for low and moderate income families. She then worked at a county housing finance authority in Florida for 8 years, starting as an executive assistant, then promoted to program administrator. Her purview as program administrator included managing the Single Family and Multi-Family Tax Exempt Mortgage Revenue Bond Program in various Central Florida counties as well as auditing properties consisting of 7000+ multi-family residential units, the financing of which amounted to over 300 million.

Betsy then worked for a property management company for 11 years starting as their Compliance Trainer providing basic, intermediate, and advanced levels of tax credit training throughout Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Michigan, Ohio, and New York. In these states, Betsy also managed a diverse portfolio of properties, ensuring the Housing Tax Credit (Section 42), Multifamily Tax Exempt Mortgage Revenue Bond, HOME Federal Loan, TCAP, Exchange, SAIL and SHIP Program compliance of each property.

She then worked for a property management company as a Senior Regional Compliance Manager. She managed a team of Compliance Specialist responsible for a portfolio of over 12,000 units ensuring compliance with the Housing Tax Credit and other affordable programs for owners and investors throughout Florida, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Minnesota, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington, Arkansas, Mississippi, Utah, Kansas, Missouri, Oregon, Colorado, Ohio, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New York, and California.

Betsy is a licensed real estate broker in Florida for over 20 years and earned the following designations as a Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP), National Compliance Professional-Executive (NCP-E), Fair Housing Certified (FHC) and Public Housing Management (PHM).
